Over a busy Summer Lytham lived up to its reputation as a bustling seaside resort with a series of Proms concerts on Lytham Green, Blackpool Air Show and a 1940’s Wartime Weekend to name but a few events. It’s fair to say that our Lancashire office matched this level of activity as we continued to grow our business.
In July we reorganised our management structure with Diane Rostron taking on the role of Senior Partner. She will be working on media opportunities and expanding our national profile in the field of Clinical Negligence. This has also resulted in my appointment as Regional Managing Partner here in Lancashire. In addition Jinni Bowles is now our Practice Manager.
Our Conveyancing department has expanded greatly following our addition to the Countrywide Conveyancing Services national panel of property lawyers. A big thank you to Duncan Rawlinson for leading this win. Countrywide offers relocation services nationwide to a wide range of businesses and we will now be handling the conveyancing for a significant proportion of their clients’ employees who are relocating. This represents a substantial increase in business for our Lancashire office.
In other news our charity, Beautiful Minds, has launched a website and following successful fundraising efforts has been able to award seven grants to help children with Cerebral Palsy. To read more on this worthwhile cause please visit www.beautiful-minds.org.uk
On a final note, in September this year Linder Myers completed a deal with Dickson Haslam in Lancashire. The deal added two more partners and boosted our Employment, Commercial Property, Family, Trusts & Estates, Residential Conveyancing and Dispute Resolution departments. Founded in 1797, Dickson Haslam has a long established reputation in the region and its Lytham based employees have moved into our main office in the town while the Preston office will continue to operate as we continue to grow our geographic footprint.
