Hilary joined Linder Myers following the merger with Rostrons Solicitors in Lytham in May 2009. Hilary qualified as a nurse in 1987, however, following a serious personal injury, she was unable to return to her nursing career but wanted to continue to use her nursing skills in a less physical career.
Diane Rostron invited Hilary to work for Rostrons Solicitors initially sorting and reviewing medical notes for the medical negligence department and later in 2004 as New Business Manager, dealing with all new client enquiries, including medical negligence and assisting with screening new cases. Since May 2011, as Medical Negligence New Client Manager, Hilary now specialises purely in medical negligence, managing our team of nurses and medical negligence enquiries across the firm.
Having suffered a serious injury herself, Hilary has a real understanding of the impact this can have on a person’s life. This enables her to empathise with and support clients who have been injured or bereaved by negligent medical treatment. She advises new clients from the first contact with us and through screening, investigating new cases, liaising with medical experts and assisting our specialist team of solicitors with medical queries.
Hilary lives in Lytham St Annes with her husband and enjoys spending any free time with her large family, stepchildren, grandchildren and friends.
Hilary sums up her approach to work as “if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well!”
Kind words and warm applause
