Tom Wordsworth, a paralegal in Linder Myers Solicitors’ family team in Chester, recently took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge, the high profile charity fundraiser in aid of The Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The private client and commercial law firm co-ordinated colleagues across its five locations including Preston, Lytham, Manchester and Shrewsbury, to raise money for this charity and Macmillan Cancer Support with participants including trainees through to senior equity partners taking part across the business.
Tom Wordsworth, paralegal in Linder Myers family team in Chester said: “I’m currently studying for my Ilex Diploma in Law part time and I’m always looking for a new challenge. This was a fun firmwide initiative to support the national fundraising efforts for two good causes so I was more than happy to represent Linder Myers’ Chester office.”
Colin Davies, partner and head of the family team at Linder Myers in Chester commented: “Many of our staff in Chester had already taken part in the Challenge on a personal level and we wanted to do this as a business to give further support to this initiative. Tom bravely carried out his Ice Bucket Challenge on the roof of our Pepper Street offices to the amusement of his colleagues and we hope to raise significant amounts across the firm.”
Linder Myers’ Chester office nominated Heather Martin and the team at Watts Financial in Northwich, the team at Innis Reed in Hoole and Mark Robinson, senior clerk at St John’s Buildings Barristers Chambers.
