Linder Myers appointed as members of The Conveyancing Association

Linder Myers has been appointed as members of The Conveyancing Association, a non-profit making body representing conveyancing operations throughout the UK with a view to shaping the future of conveyancing.

The Law Society have introduced the Conveyancing Quality Scheme, which is intended to provide successful applicant law firms with a "kite-mark" that will assure lenders that they have achieved required standards in set criteria. Linder Myers have an application in progress to join this scheme.

The Conveyancing Association, however, goes even further. It is a group of like-minded law firms, the majority of which are among the Land Registry's list of leading conveyancing firms in the UK. Membership of this prestigious group will enable Linder Myers to be in the best position possible to deal with the current changes and developments in the conveyancing industry and to ensure that, by sharing best practice, we continue to provide the highest levels of service to our conveyancing clients.

Duncan Rawlinson, Head of Conveyancing at Linder Myers, is acutely aware of the immediate challenges facing the conveyancing sector, which include:

  • Lenders reducing the number of firms that they will deal with.
  • The Legal Services Act which will enable other businesses to provide legal services.
  • The introduction of new regulations and legislative requirements.
  • Restrictions on solicitors' Professional Indemnity Insurance.
