History of the Lancashire offices

Linder Myers Solicitors are based in Lancashire, with an office in Lytham.

These were formed through mergers with two established firms, Rostrons in Lytham and Apfel Carter in St Annes.

All legal services offered by the Linder Myers firm are available from the Lancashire branch. This gives our clients access to legal advisors with local knowledge, but with the access to nationwide resources.

Rostrons was established in January 1998 by Diane Rostron. Having spent several years as an employed solicitor in the local area, Diane decided that she wished to set up a practice which would be different from others.

Diane's aim was to provide to the local community a level of service and degree of expertise commensurate with a large city practice, but located within the local area at local rates. The firm initially offered advice in areas for Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Family. In 2003 Rostrons opened their Conveyancing Department headed by Dawn Goodall (who is now a member of Clinical Negligence Team). In 2004 the Wills and Probate Department was opened.

Diane's aim was achieved.

Rostrons were proud to boast of the service they provided to their clients. The employment of solicitors who specialise in only one area of law, and the investment in computer technology, ensured that clients were guaranteed immediate and direct access to a specialist solicitor.

Consequently, Rostrons developed a reputation for dealing in their specialist areas of work in an expert and highly efficient manner.

In 2009 Rostrons merged with Linder Myers. Diane was ensured that the Linder Myers ethos was to the same high standards as Rostrons, and indeed it is. We can now offer legal services and advice in a wider area of law to a wider range of clients and businesses alike.

In 2010 the Lancashire team expanded by joining forces with another local firm, Apfel Cater in St Annes. Apfel Carter have been practicing in the area for over 100 years and bring with them similar values of placing the client first at all times.

The Lancashire office is now a hub for clients, providing first rate legal services across a full range of law.
