We find that in many cases if we send your debtor an 'LBA' we recover your debt.
Cost of LBA
Once a claim is issued, the Debtor has 14 days to respond by either admitting the debt, offering instalments, paying the debt in full or disputing the debt.

A Warrant of Execution will be prepared and once issued it will be passed to the Bailiff to attend the Debtors address to seize assets if necessary.
We would normally only instruct a bailiff for debts up to £600.

We pass the Judgment order to the HCEO to obtain the relevant writ for their authority to attend the Debtors address to seize assets if necessary. We would normally only instruct the HCEO for debts over £600.

This enforcement option is only available if the Debtor is in full time employment.
The Court will order the employer to make instalment payments based on the rate of the debtors income.
N.B. The Court fee is recoverable but no fixed costs are recoverable.

This formal demand is served by a Process Server under the Court rules and provides the Debtor with 18 days to dispute the Statutory Demand or 21 days to pay. This is not advisable where there is a hint of a dispute. N.B. These costs are not recoverable within the demand.
