Certainty Will registry

Certainty is the only national register of Wills in the UK. It allows your Will to be registered so that upon the event of your death your loved ones can trace it easily.

To ensure the register's reliability Certainty only allow membership to solicitors, so unqualified Will writing companies cannot offer this service.

A recent survey revealed 67% of people did not know where to find their parents' Wills. Tens of thousands of estates fall into intestacy each year, which can cause emotional and financial turmoil for loved ones.

All solicitors keep a database of Wills that are held, although changing circumstances, moving to another area or simply the passage of time can make it difficult for beneficiaries to find your Will.

• records that we hold your Will, but not details about the content
• following your death, the registry gives us details of anyone who is looking for your Will
• we answer the query if legitimate, but if not we ignore it and so protect your Will

The cost of registration is just £25 (including VAT). If you and your spouse or partner choose to register your Wills at the same time, we will also register their Will for free.

If you have previously paid for Linder Myers LLP or a firm now acquired by Linder Myers LLP to prepare your Will, we will register any new Will prepared by us free of charge!
