Celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special meal?

The Food Standard Agency’s (FSA) latest public attitudes trackers show that the main food safety issue people continue to be concerned about when they eat out is food hygiene.

Despite these concerns people are unaware of the FSA’s food hygiene rating scheme. Only 19% of respondents had seen or heard about the FSA Scheme and only 12% had seen or heard about scores on the doors.

FSA have inspected restaurants across the whole of the UK, awarding ratings on a scale of 1 – 5. To find out how they determine the scores click here.
